Wallquilts and tabletoppers
Finaly it is done my Dragonfly Garden fom Three Swans Studios
It took nearly a year to finish, piece by piece, lots of pieces. I did not work on it everyday.
I worked on it when I was in the mood. Now it is on my livingroom wall and I enjoy it a lot.
Here are a better picture to see the colors of this quilt.
This is my first attemt to do something artistic.
I work at a callcenter and I got the idéa to make a wallhaning for our restoom.
It felt unconfortable to cut out the trees on freehand but when I had done that it was all just fun to make it.
this is my first but not the last one. So fun to use woolfelting, on the headset, and use yarn to make the spidersweb,
beads to make water dropps in the web, buttons on the phones 3D leaf in the tree.
No limitations just use your own imagination and feel free to play. Lots of freemotion quilting on this one.
I call this one "At your service"
It is 126cm by 91 cm

I took some fabric with coffee related print and made these one
This is what I do for handsewing. Japaneese folding. Fun and I like that it makes finished blocks to assembly. This is a small table topper. |

I saw this lovely fabric in blue with Egyptian motivs in blue and gold and couldn't resist to buy it. I was inspired by a picture of Nefrertiti and this is my "Egyptian inspiration"

My first attempt to

"Summer day" Applique by hand and quilted by hand. I like to sew by hand, it is so relaxing. At first I thought it would be a nice babyquilt but I liked it so much that it now hangs on the wall in my bedroom. It is 100 by100 cm. |
This time I follwed
a pattern all the way for the first time I think. I don't usaly do that. This one is from the Tilda series and i bought a kit just because it was so cute. |
On a meeting wiht my quilt guild one of the ladies showed how to make this Stack and Slash quilt. Quick and easy to
do. It is 96 by 69 cm. |

banner so I made this one with apliqued leafs. |

Winter "Dancing snowgirl" I made one more
door banner to change to when winter comes. |
A wallhaning pattern from JukeboxQuilts . I bought the pattern from Big Hornquilts. I have done this one by hand and quilted it by hand with a multicolored quilt thread. On the black border I quilted @ randomly with the mulitcolored thread. It turned out realy nice. |
I took a class in
Celtic knots and here is my first attemt (march 2003). It was fun. A lot of ironing and using a lot of needles. This is the finished wall quilt 45 X 45 cm |
This is a board game we in sweden call: Fia-spel. I found this idea
in a swedish quiltbook and then I changed the pattern so I liked
it and that it become some thing I made. I made the squeres in different
sizes just for fun. |

Ferrets, what can I say? I just had to do them. I made the pattern myself and they are hand sewn. I quilted pawprints all over the "blank" space. Thise two are in Germany now in an Veterinarian klinik. |
